1 in 6 Australian men get prostate cancer. You can help us give them longer lives.

Dear Footy, I Love You…

The AFL has postponed the 2020 season due to the Coronavirus outbreak and it’s left footy fans around the country devastated.

But… imagine how good the roar of the crowd is going to sound when that first ball is bounced when footy’s back. At some point, footy will return. And we will wait as long as it takes.

3AW’s Ross Stevenson and Love Letter to Football is asking all footy fans to rally together and celebrate our shared love for footy. Let’s show footy how much we miss it – and that we’re all in it together waiting until it’s back.
We want to hear from YOU – from footy lovers who miss the game. Share your story – were you born into a generation of fanatical supporters who grew up a little leaguer or cheer squad member plastering bedroom walls with footy posters? Did you play kick to kick with mates desperate for the weekend, screaming for your AFL side?

From 6 April until 4 May, every week, Ross will choose the winning Love Letter to Football and read out an excerpt live on air during 3AW’s Ross and John. And there will be an amazing prize announced every week.

Write Ross a Love Letter  –  Help Tackle Prostate Cancer

Whatever made you fall in love with footy, we want to hear your story. You don’t have to be an AGE footy scribe or the next Mark Robinson. We want real grass roots footy tales from real fans like you.

Write your footy love story (in under 350 words) and you could be the lucky winner and have your Love Letter read out live on air, and win an amazing prize.

So, tell us about the time you took a real speckie on the wing, or your favourite player autographed your jumper. It could be funny, sad or maybe inspiring. Just write it down and send it to us.

Remember, not only could you win a great prize, but your entry will help us raise money for tackling Australia’s fastest-growing men’s health issue – prostate cancer.
